Moving Forward
The total magazine ‘theme’ layout didn’t work out, mostly because i didn’t like it after day one. So, here comes the new look for my blog, a theme that retains the traditional blog layout by featuring posts headed by a title and a little information relating to its published date and so fourth but also allows me to present my content in a much more attractive way.
Affiliate links and banners have started to creep in to my blog portion of my on-line home and for this i apologise to those who prefer an uncluttered reading environment but given my increasing use of bandwidth dedicated to my expanding video section I have had to source a way to cover the expenses (which is not massive, but enough to require help with offsetting it) caused by such increases. My blog was the only part of my site that i wanted to sacrifice for banner ads and affiliate linking. I have also chosen to run an ad engine on a couple of my main site pages, but these remain unobtrusive and will always remain so.
The sidebar to your right will begin to play an even more vital role in a ‘regular’ visitor’s visit to my site. At present it provides overall access to the history of my posts, media and of course RSS feeds and subscriptions. You can also see a featured video box, picking a video from my video section, clicking on the banner will take you back into my main portfolio.
The search box has also been changed and moved up top, along the top right of the blog layout.
Another thing about the affiliate linking; it allows to me gain a wider exposure through search engines, it allows my site to earn a small amount of revenue that goes to settling at least 50-70% of hosting fees and it will allow me to provide adult content for free as part of my new plan for my on-line network.
I hope you enjoy my new layout and the tweaks that will arrive in the near future.
