Bad Bad GaGa!

Another controversy surrounding a Lady GaGa music video, surely not. Telephone continues in a long line of GaGa music videos to feature bizarre but wonderful visual imagery, some of which inspires and some of which offends.

I personally like the video, we all know I’m not offended by the odd sexual imagery so perhaps I am biased and perhaps I’m too desensitized to have a voice in this debate but I really don’t find what this objectionable content is that a lot of people are object to.

GaGa has fired back;

“There are transsexual women and transgender women and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people in this world that believe being gay is a choice. It’s not a choice, we’re born this way. That’s why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world,” said the 24-year-old singer.

“I told Beyonce this after it aired, you’ll see this video is not just great now but six months from now what this video will mean. Hearing people say the video is sadomasochistic or that the video promotes murder for young people, it’s my personal belief that the video is getting so much attention not because of those themes because I’ve done those themes before, haven’t I?” Gaga added.

A woman speaking on Fox against the airing of this latest music video Sandy Rios stated;

…The we’ve got Benyonce and GaGa gay lesbian lovers, I mean it’s disgusting!

I find it more objectionable that Fox should be allowed to air that comment on TV, it is dicrimation at it’s very nastinest and if she is supposed to be the example that parents should follow I have severe doubts about how accepting and open-minded our future generations will be.

The Fox presenter goes on to state;

We’re blurring out the bottom… because when she turns around you see everything!

Erm! No we don’t, we see a thong, you know like the bikinis and other underwear shown on shows like Jersey Shore, The O.C, Dawson’s Creek and Keeping up with the Kadashians.

These people who do these so-called surveys on content that makes people commit crimes and sex offences should really be dumped on an Island somewhere until they die of starvation. They allow people to have a platform on a national or international platform and reel off bogus statistics that the bend, mould and merge in to a defense for the stand they are taking.

I can guarantee the effects on our culture would be increased and worsened if mass censorship was to be applied to our lives, Burma, China anyone?!

So, in closing – FUCK you Sandy Rios!
